Profile Of Naomi

Naomi was six years old when her mom died of liver cancer. She was distressed and shattered as her mom was her rock but things began to slip even more when she lost her dad. Her dad passed away in a car accident and from there Naomi was never the same. She blamed herself for the deaths of both of her parents and at the age of seventeen things were not looking up. In April 2011 during red nose day, She started to have delusions of persecution that other people especially her parents were coming to kill her as she believed that she killed them too. School was getting harder and she was not doing very well in her school work as she would hide in the toilets to protect herself from anyone out there who was going to hurt her.

However, she got the help she needed and this year on red nose day, she is celebrating her anniversary of getting through this disturbing illness. She is dressing up to show that she feels more ready and powerful and in control opposed to last year.

Use Of Reconstructions

Reconstructions are often used in documentaries. They are acted out scenes to enable the audience to understand what is going on in the documentary. They usually provide factual information and provide the audience with a sense of realism as if the actual event was occuring live. The camera work differs to the camera work used for the actual documentaries, for example in reconstructions they always include:
  • Distortion
  • Lighting effects
  • Changes in camera levels
  • Colour enhancement
  • Blurring
